What we hope is these people are not just abandoned in communities and suffer abuse from those that show no understanding of their predicament. They should be educated in the ways of their new home, and a new way of life. We hope becoming involved in the rich vein of our social history will be part of their education, so they can be part of an inclusive society, become involved and celebrate the many activities communities across take part in. Let’s try and make them welcome and help them become involved.
Below are a list of days to celebrate and become involved in during September. The picture shows a typic Michaelmas celebration which takes place on the 29th of September.
